■ 공모 내용

The International ICT Innovative Services Awards (InnoServe Awards) has been held annually since 1996 and has a history of more than 30 years. It is one of Taiwan’s flagship student competitions in innovative information applications.

The competition encourages university and graduate students from around the world, including master’s and doctoral students, to leverage information technology and innovative thinking to develop creative information application services and solutions. By combining academic research with practical applications, participants are encouraged to address real-world challenges in industry and society.

International teams are eligible to participate only in the International Exchange - English Division (IC). Teams that pass the preliminary round will be invited to Taipei, Taiwan, to participate in the final round and exchange ideas with outstanding student teams from different countries and regions.

■ 지원 자격

Open to students currently enrolled at accredited universities or colleges worldwide, including undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students.

Participants must maintain their student status through November 7, 2026.

Each team may submit only one project.

Each team may consist of up to 8 eligible students.

Each team must have at least 1 and no more than 2 advisors/mentors.

Teams that have previously won awards in other ICT-related competitions are required to provide relevant proof of award for the organizer’s reference.

Projects that have already been commercialized are NOT eligible to participate.

All submitted projects must be original and must NOT involve plagiarism, copyright infringement, or any other violation of laws or regulations.

Participants must carefully read and comply with all competition rules and regulations.

■ 모집 기간

Now through September 11, 2026

Application Deadline: September 11, 2026

Preliminary Round: September 17, 2026 (Document Review)

Final Round: November 7, 2026 (Location: Taipei, Taiwan)

Teams selected for the final round are required to travel to Taipei, Taiwan, to present their projects, demonstrate their systems, and participate in a Q&A session with the judges:

Project Presentation & Demonstration: Approximately 6 minutes

Q&A Session: Approximately 7 minutes

International Exchange – English Division: Project presentations and on-site demonstrations must be conducted in English.

Award Package

International teams selected for the final round are eligible for the following support:

3 nights of accommodation in Taipei (1 double room for 2 people per team)

Round-trip transportation between Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport and the hotel

Selected meals during the competition

Airfare subsidies:

Asia: USD 500 per team

Americas, Europe, and Africa: USD 1,000 per person, up to USD 2,000 per team

Australia and New Zealand: USD 500 per person, up to USD 1,000 per team

※ The Award Package is available exclusively to qualified participating teams, with support provided for up to 2 people per team. Passport fees, visa fees, personal expenses, and other expenses not specifically listed above are not covered.

The International ICT Innovative Services Awards 2026 (InnoServe Awards 2026) is organized by Taiwan’s government sectors, including the Administration for Digital Industries, Ministry of Digital Affairs and the Department of Information and Technology Education, Ministry of Education, together with the Chinese Information Management Association. The competition is implemented by the Taipei Computer Association (TCA).

First launched in 1996, the competition has a history of more than 30 years. It has long encouraged university and college students to integrate information technology, innovative thinking, and practical applications, with the goal of nurturing talent equipped with innovation capabilities and hands-on experience.

심사과정 중 가장 중요시 하는 요소는?

The evaluation criteria for both the preliminary and final rounds are as follows:

Practicality: 45%
Whether the project effectively addresses real-world problems and demonstrates practical application value.

Innovation: 30%
Including the project’s level of innovation, impact, and ability to integrate different technologies or concepts.

English Presentation and Communication Skills: 15%
The team’s ability to clearly explain the project concept, functions, technologies, and application value in English.

System Documentation Completeness: 10%
Including system completeness, relevance to the competition theme, problem definition, and completeness of supporting documentation.

For the International Exchange – English Division (IC), all application documents and on-site presentations must be conducted in English. Therefore, the team’s English communication and presentation skills are also important evaluation factors.
