2018 ISSCY (International Social Science Conference for Youth)
ISSCY is a research competition for high school students around the world, co-hosted and sponsored by the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA), Youtheca USA, a social platform for students interested in extra-curricular activities, and other global NGO’s. In an effort to promote the study of humanities and social science among secondary students around the world, the ISSCY invites young minds to submit their research paper to a panel of judges for consideration. Students will submit a proposal for the preliminary round and, if selected, will be invited to submit their full papers. After a careful screening by esteemed judges, up to 80 young researchers may be given the opportunity to publish their work in the ISSCY’s Online Journal.

** Preliminary Round Deadline: August 31, 2018
** Finalists Announced: September 7, 2018
** Final Round Deadline: September 21, 2018
** Publication: October 12, 2018

Up to 80 finalists will be selected and may be published in the International Social Science Conference for Youth online journal.
■ Eligibility
Students around the world in high school or equivalent academic standing are eligible to participate. Only individual submissions will be accepted.
■ Language : English
■ Research Fields Accepted:
All fields in the humanities and social sciences are accepted. Possible fields may include, but are not limited to:
** Humanities: Classics, History, Literature, Linguistics, Performing Arts, Philosophy, Religion, Anthropology, Music
** Social Sciences: Sociology, International Relations, Economics, Public Policy, Psychology, Education, Communication, Public Health, Law, Journalism, Environmental Policy, Business

** YOUTHECA USA
Youtheca USA is the entity representing Youtheca in the United States. Youtheca is a social networking platform for students and student activities in over 90 regions and 6,000 schools. Youtheca sponsors the “Global Student Activities Expo,” a non-profit event held in Seoul, South Korea and Irvine, California. Youtheca is dedicated to being free providers of academic opportunities and extracurricular activities for students in all regions and from all socioeconomic backgrounds.
